One day Nao went to a wise sage.
"Please help me, I want to find myself." Said Nao.
"What do you mean by that?" Asked the sage
"I want to find goodness in me, peace in me. I tried, but I am unable to find peace and happiness anywhere. I feel so lost in this world."
"Stay here with me, and I will help you." Said the sage.
Nao stayed.
Next day, the sage called Nao. "Please go and find some flowers in the garden, and bring them to me."
Nao went to the garden. He searched, and searched. He did not find any flowers.
He went back to the sage. "There are no flowers in the garden. I could not find even a single flower plant."
Sage did not say anything.
Next day, Nao went to the sage for his lesson.
"Please go bring some flowers from the garden." Said the sage.
"But there aren't any!" Nao said in an irritated voice.
Sage did not reply.
Nao stood there waiting. At last he went back to the garden. He searched, and searched. He did not find any flowers.
This kept happening for a week.
Nao became impatient. Nao realised, this sage is not going to teach him anything until he brings flowers.
He went to the market brought few flowers, and gave them to the sage.
"Are these from the garden?" Asked the sage.
"No." Nao replied.
"Bring me some flowers from the garden." Said the sage.
"How can I? There aren't any." Said Nao angrily.
Sage didn't reply.
Nao went to the market again. This time, he bought a few flower seeds.
He sowed the flower seeds in the garden.
Few weeks passed by. Nao did not go to the sage for his lesson.
Instead he watered the seeds. After few days, seeds became plants. He cared for the plants.
Nao waited patiently.
After a month, these plants bloomed.
Nao plucked few, and went to the sage. He gave the flowers to the sage.
"Are these from the garden?" Asked the sage.
"Yes!" Answered Nao beaming with happiness.
"But you told me there were no flower plants in the garden, how did you find them?"
" I searched in the garden but. couldn't find any. So I took matters in my hand. I planted flower seeds in the garden. These are flowers from those plants." answered Nao
"So what you couldn't find you created. Why don't you do that with yourself?
Take responsibility for your own actions, happiness & feelings. Nobody else is responsible for your happiness but you. Follow your own thoughts. Create yourself." Said the sage.
