Nothing, Everything...

Once upon a time there was a king. He was a good person, but he had one problem. He would feel unhappy all the time. He would worry about a lot many things. Future of his kids, safety of his kingdom, and his own health. Because of his nature, the king could never enjoy anything.

One day the king’s minister told him about the great sage, and his ability to help people with their problems.

Immediately the king visited the sage’s ashram. He told the sage about all his troubles.

"Hey Wise One, help me with my problem. I am never happy, what should I do?" questioned the king with hopeful eyes.

"Always keep in mind nothing is so important in life that you should worry about so much. Life is just emptiness. All this worry will push you towards your early death. So henceforth whenever you will be unhappy, keep saying "Nothing is so important that I should worry so much." advised the sage
"This is such a easy thing to do" said the king to himself.

The king went back to his kingdom. He doubted the usefulness of the remedy told by the sage. None the less he followed it.

Whenever he would worry about anything, he would say to himself "Nothing is so important in the world that I should worry so much". Every time the king said this, he would feel little less unhappy.

Time passed by. The king Became cheerful day by day. So to celebrate he organized Gala. He gave orders to decorate whole kingdom. He invited the great sage.

On the day of gala,  the king was roaming around with sage and his minister inspecting the arrangements

“What a beautiful flower decoration” said the minister looking at the decoration of the tiny flowers.

"Oh yes certainly. It looks so beautiful. In fact life itself is so beautiful. Everything in life is important for our happiness." said the sage

Hearing this king felt little surprised.

He wondered “This sage is such a duel minded. What is the meaning of this? Few months back the same sage told me nothing is important, now he is saying everything is important."

When the king looked at the sage and about to ask him his query. The sage replied in mischievous tone "I know what you are wondering about. But life is like that. There nothing in life is so important that you should worry so much. But at the same time, everything is important for our happiness. The more happy you become, the more things you will find, that can make you happy. If one wants to be happy, one would able to find joy in almost everything. No matter how small it is, such as that tiny flower decoration. So "Nothing is important yet everything is important".
